Captain Marvel first look out tomorrow. Here’s all we know about Brie Larson’s film

Brie Larson is all set to ‘break the internet’ on Thursday with a big reveal about her upcoming movie, Captain Marvel.

Brie Larson plays airforce pilot and superhero Carol Denvers in Captain Marvel.

Marvel is set to unleash a big surprise for its fans on Thursday. Actor Brie Larson, the star of the studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel, will share a big reveal from the movie.

In an exciting new tweet on Wednesday, Brie tagged Entertainment Weekly magazine and wrote, “Hey @EW I’m bored. Wanna break the Internet tomorrow?” EW replied, “Yes! Meet us here at noon ET. We’ve got something Marvel-ous in mind.” “It’s a date,” wrote Brie.

The magazine will most likely share a new cover featuring Brie in full Captain Marvel costume and a few stills from the movie. This will be the first official anything the fans will be treated to since the film was announced.

So before the big reveal, here’s a little primer on all we know so far about the movie and the mysterious hero it tells the story of:

Captain Marvel will star Brie as Carol Danvers, an airforce pilot from 1990’s Earth. Carol was introduced at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, when Nick Fury sends out a distress signal to her upon seeing the effects of Thanos’ finger snap. According to multiple reports, the character could possibly take over as the leader of the Avengers in the series’ post-Avengers 4 phase, which will likely introduce new faces after the original lineup makes way for the new..

Talking about the film, Marvel chief Kevin Feige had previously explained why the studio was tapping into the ‘90s action genre. “The answer is, you’ll see in the storytelling of the movie.” Feige had told the Toronto Sun. “But it allows us to play in an area that we have never played in before and tapping into a ’90s action genre was fun for us and being able to see an earlier part of the MCU before Nick Fury knew anything about aliens or anything about super-powered people and also tapping into the Kree-Skrull War, which in the comics was a huge part of the comic mythology, seemed like a fun thing to try and a fun way to give Carol Danvers her own standalone origin story.”

The movie will also star a younger Nick Fury who still has the function of both his eyes. Samuel L Jackson teased Captain Marvel’s massive potential in an interview to Vulture. “Who’s really dead, and who’s really in the flaky wind of Marvel dust, I don’t know, but I do know there’s a solution that they didn’t even have to tell me, just because I know who Captain Marvel is and what all that means,” Jackson had said.

Captain Marvel is being co-directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The director duo recently shared that principal photography on the film had ended.

Brie’s photos from the sets of Captain Marvel in Los Angeles had also surfaced, in which the actor was seen in a black and teal blue suit. Many fans, upon coming across these images, reimagined her in different suits that would fit right in with the comic world. Check them out

The film is due out in March 2019, just a couple of months before Avengers 4.
